Previous Events
Barnsley Singers started performing towards the end of 2016. This page includes a selection of past concerts, and workshops the choir has participated in.
Our concerts provide a varied range of musical genres and we continue to expand our repertoire.
Workshops provide an opportunity for the choir to enhance the skills and learning gained at our usual rehearsals, through working with other renowned professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.
We look forward to enjoying participation in future workshops throughout 2018, and using the additional experience to enhance our future public performances.
Remembrance Service – Barnsley Town Hall
Barnsley Singers were honoured to perform at the Remembrance Service on Sunday 11th November 2018.
This was a very special centenary service, being 100 years since the end of the First World War. Many of our members found this to be a very moving performance, singing two special hymns learned especially for the occasion.
Remembrance Concert – Royal British Legion
Barnsley Singers were delighted to perform at the Royal British Legion’s annual Remembrance Service on Thursday 9th November 2017.
We were especially honoured to perform alongside Barnsley Youth Choir’s Intermediate and Senior Choirs, and sing the Armed Man pieces together.
It was a truly moving experience for everyone involved.
